How to add html page template through FTP?

1) Connect to FTP
2) Go to the directory - public_html > templates > pages (for all web page templates, mostly to customize the page settings and layout) / blog (for all blog templates)
3) Easiest way is to copy an existed page template and save as a new template
4) Edit the template and upload to the pages folder

Basic Page Template Setup

Setting up a Morweb page template is very simple and only requires 3 Morweb tags to interact with the system, mwMeta Tag, Resources Tag and mwPageArea Tag.

Meta Tag

Morweb allows you to set up your meta information in 2 ways:

<meta name="Keywords" content="{meta-keywords}" />
<meta name="Description" content="{meta-description}" />
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=no, width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0;">

<mwMeta charset="utf-8" viewport="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no" ie="edge" />

Resources Tag

This tag loads all of the system CSS, Javascript, jQuery to your page.

<resources type="CSS, JAVA" req="superfish, jquery, mw.forms" />

mwPageArea Tag

<mwPageArea> Is used to define sections or drop zones for blocks to be added to while in Morweb Live Edit mode. This will hold all your editable content and can be wrapped around a div with a class for styling purposes.

<mwPageArea rel="mainContentArea" info="mainContentArea"></mwPageArea>

Rel: The unique ID given to that page area.
Info: Is the label that shows up in Live Edit specifying the name of the drop area (see below)

Static Page Template Example

This is an example of a basic static page template where all the areas you can apply Morweb tags are highlighted in blue.

You can structure your template any way you'd like and do not have to follow the structure in this example.

Morweb Page Template Example

This example uses the static template above but has been converted for use with Morweb CMS. Highlighted in blue are the areas we added the Morweb tags described above.

Now that we have converted the static page template to a Morweb page template we can now add all the content through the Live Edit mode in Morweb.
