Using the Widget Bar

To add content to a page with Morweb Live Edit you first have to create the page in the Pages Manager. Once the page has been created click on "View" to enter Live Edit mode.

Drop Areas

Drop areas are shown on the page with a dotted green box. These are areas where you can drag and drop widgets from the widget bar. These drop areas are specified through the html code on your page template.



Widget Bar

As you can see there are many different types of widgets you can use on your page. They let you add different types of content like Menus, Images, Forms, Blog Posts etc. 

 


Preview: Click to view your page as it would look live to the user.


Mobile: Click to view your page as it would look on different mobile devices.

 
Content:
Allows you to create an area on your page where you can add content through the use of a visual editor. 




Subtemplate: Allows you to use different sub-templates on your page for extra design flexibility. 


Menus: For adding menus you've created in the Menu Manager to your page. 

After placing the widget in your content area the Menus Settings dialog opens where you can select which menu to use. You can select pre-installed menu drop down scripts and choose to make your menu Responsive or not.




Embed: Allows you embed external applications or interactive content like YouTube videos, social media feeds and much more.


File: Allows you to add any media files you have in your galleries to the page. This also allows you to use custom HTML templates for better control of your layout.

After placing the widget in your content area the File Settings dialog opens.

1. Select which Template to use
2. Select Static from the Source drop down menu, unless you require a dynamic source.
3. Select a File from one of your galleries to use.
4. Click Apply to save.




Gallery: Allows you to load any of your galleries to the page. This allows you to use custom templates for better control of your layout.

After placing the widget in your content area the Gallery Settings dialog opens where you can select which Gallery Template to use, what the file Source is, and which Gallery to use.




Contact Submission: Allows you to add forms created in the Contacts Manager to your page. 

After placing the widget in your content area the Contact Submission Settings dialog opens.
Here you can:

1. Select which Form to use from the Submit to List drop down menu.

2. Add a custom Message to display after the user submits the form OR set a Redirect which will take the user to a new page after they submit the form.

3. Click Apply to save your settings.




Search Input:
Allows you to add a search bar to your website.

After placing the widget in your content area the Search Input Settings dialog opens.
Here you can:

1. Select the Page that will show all the search results.
2. Add a Label inside the search field.
3. Use the Button Text option to give your search button a name e.g. Find, Search etc.
4. Select the Submit Method to GET or POST (this option will mainly apply to developers).
5. Click Apply to save.




Search Results:
Will create a widget that displays all the search results on the page.


Map:
Allows you to add a Google map to your page.

After placing the widget in your content area the Map Settings dialog opens where you can input the address you want shown on the map. It also allows you options to customize the appearance of the map.




Share Buttons:
Allows you to add Social Media links with icons to your page.

After placing the widget in your content area the Share Buttons Settings dialog opens where you can:

1. Choose a predefined layout Template.
2. Enable Counters to show how many times your page was shared.
3. Choose from a list of social media Services to use on that page.
4. Click Apply to save.

 


Feed Box:
Creates an area where you can display your social media feeds on the page.

After placing the widget in your content area the Feed Box Settings dialog opens where you can you can choose from a list of social media Services to use on that page.




Posts Lists:
Will add all your blog posts in the form of a Blog List to your page.

Blog Post:
Creates an area on the page where your blog posts will be displayed.
